10 Top Reiki Websites & Reiki Blogs

by | Mar 11, 2018 | Reiki Blog Posts

If you’re anything like me, the moment you learn a little bit about any topic, you want to learn more. However, when the topic is something very fringe-y and you don’t know that much about it yet, sometimes it’s hard to know where to find the best information on the subject.

Never fear. When it comes to Reiki, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 Reiki websites. When we ranked these top Reiki websites, we considered whether or not they were user-friendly, informative, comprehensive, and credible, so you know you’re getting the best.

1. Reiki Rays

If you’re wanting to learn about Reiki, Reiki Rays is a great place to go. Not only does Reiki Rays have free downloadable resources for practitioners to use (a couple of which I use in my classes), but they have eBooks and endless articles about Reiki, energy healing and other related information.

2. The John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing

The John Harvey Gray Center for Reiki Healing has a fantastic website if you’re looking for information about Reiki. They have numerous articles, and their blog is clearly organized with posts on different topics. In addition, John Harvey Gray learned directly from Mrs. Hawayo Takata, who brought Reiki to the United States and only trained 22 Reiki Masters during her lifetime. His wife, Lourdes Gray, learned from him before his passing in 2011 and is now his sole lineage bearer. Gray has trained more than 15,000 Reiki students, so she definitely knows her stuff

3. Reiki, Medicine, and Self-Care with Pamela Miles

Pamela Miles has been a Reiki practitioner since 1986 and updates her blog Reiki, Medicine, and Self-Care on a monthly basis. However, since she’s been posting on her blog since 2009, she has quite a few articles available for anyone who’s wanting to learn more. She’s based out of New York City, but in addition to offering in-person sessions and classes, she also offers individual and organizational consulting.

4. Reiki for Christians

If you identify as a Christian and you’re feeling a bit nervous about Reiki, the Reiki for Christians website is for you. Not only does this website have several articles on how Reiki and Christianity are complementary and NOT contradictory, but it also links to letters submitted by nuns, priests, and bishops who practice Reiki. The information is well-organized, and it offers a different perspective than most of the other websites on this list.

5. International Center for Reiki Training

While the International Center for Reiki Training is often considered to be the gold standard as far as Reiki training in the United States goes, its website is not the most user-friendly; as such, I’ve ranked it lower on this list than others might. The website’s content was developed by Reiki Master Teacher William Lee Rand, who has been practicing Reiki for 29 years. And while it’s comprehensive and informative, the information is not well-organized, so it’s hard to find what you’re looking for.

6. Rebel Reiki

Rebel Reiki, like many of the sites on this list, has a fairly decent blog that covers certain facets of Reiki healing, including how Reiki can benefit those suffering from mesothelioma and heart conditions can find relief with Reiki. However, my favorite part about the website is that, on its homepage, it talks about how the most rebellious thing we can do in our culture of achievement and competition is to love ourselves. And what is a Reiki self-session if not self-love?

7. Reiki Playground

Though Reiki Playground is no longer being actively maintained and updated, there is endless useful content on this website, including a guide to grounding exercises that don’t involve envisioning tree roots and a free Reiki resource library. However, keep in mind that if you choose to download any of the free resources, there is no tech support available.

8. My Rising Sun Reiki

My Rising Sun Reiki is based in Minnesota, and they have a blog with some useful information about Reiki for athletes, Reiki for children, and Reiki for emotional health and wellness. Thought the blog posts are short, they do provide some useful information for those looking to gain some more information about how Reiki can help others who might not be hospital patients or those in obvious physical pain.

9. Mainstream Reiki

Created by Andrea Kennedy, Mainstream Reiki has a blog that addresses why Reiki is important and valuable for a person’s emotional healing. Some of her recent blog posts include sharing how Reiki can help with meditation, discussing whether Reiki energy ever evolves, and examining how Reiki can help with stress. Because the blog isn’t updated consistently and only has a handful of posts, it ranks a little lower on our list. Nonetheless, Kennedy’s blog does have some useful information, especially for those very new to the subject.

10. Loving Light Healing

Reiki Master Teacher and shamanic healer Calleen Bohl of Loving Light Healing is based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. While she does not have a blog on her website, her website content includes four pages on Reiki, its history, and its use in healthcare settings; she also links to valuable resources. Calleen’s classes are of the Usui-Tibetan tradition, and she also practices shamanism.
